The finalists for this award had turned ideas into striking visuals, brought fresh thinking to every brief, and produced work that genuinely moves the needle for their clients. Our winner shows how great design can inform, inspire, and make a lasting impression. Meet Mila Golomuz.
Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m a multi-disciplinary designer and the Creative Design Team Lead at global fintech Unlimit. My background is in product and fashion design, but I found my true passion in graphic and motion design, where creativity meets clarity and storytelling. What drives me most is curiosity: the constant urge to explore, experiment, and create something meaningful. I love when visuals don’t just look good, but make people feel, think, and connect.
What does winning this award mean to you?
Honestly, it still feels a bit surreal. But it also made me pause and look back at how much I’ve grown. I entered fintech with almost no B2B experience, just curiosity and determination and over time evolved into a creative lead shaping a global visual identity. This award, to me, is a quiet reminder of that journey: growth, consistency, and belief in design as a tool for change.
What career achievement are you most proud of?
Leading the visual evolution of Unlimit is something I’m truly proud of. The goal was to refresh the brand and all of its touch points, from digital to OOH, while keeping its recognisability, rather than a quick redesign. Seeing it all come together, knowing I helped guide that shift with an amazing team, feels like a milestone.
What impact have you seen from your work?
I’ve seen our design approach take on a more strategic direction and become a real driver of growth for the company. My leadership and creative vision has helped strengthen Unlimit’s global visual identity, win two Fintech B2B Marketing Awards, and implement new tools that made our workflow more efficient and creative. However, most importantly, it helped create a truly collaborative team culture internally, where everyone gets to experiment and grow more confident in their ideas. That’s the kind of impact, that in my opinion, will truly last.
What’s the biggest lesson you’ve had to learn, and how did you grow from it?
The biggest lesson was learning to balance creativity with leadership. Moving from designer to team lead meant letting go of doing everything myself and focusing on empowering others. I learned that good leadership isn’t about control, it's about trust and support. Watching my team grow has been one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
Before design, I studied tailoring and woodworking, two crafts that taught me precision and patience. I still think of design as a kind of modern craftsmanship: building something where structure and creativity work together. Even in digital projects, I try to keep that sense of human touch and attention to detail.
What advice would you give to the next wave of Digital Women?
Stay curious, it’s your biggest strength. Don’t fear change or uncertainty; they’re part of growth. Keep exploring, experimenting, and learning. Be kind to yourself and to others. The digital world moves fast, but your perspective and voice are what make your work stand out. Stay brave, stay open, and create with purpose.
