Introducing Digital Women Award 2025 Winner
Izabela Bos: Social Media Manager of the Year 2025
Social media changes by the minute, but social media managers keep pace and then some. They read the algorithms, spot the trend before it trends, and turn casual scrolls into real conversations – and revenue. Introducing the winner of Social Media Manager of the Year, Izabela Bos.
Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m Izabela Bos, a strategic social media leader with over nine years of experience transforming brand presence into measurable growth and engagement. I specialise in building and scaling content strategies that connect with diverse audiences, elevate brand visibility, and drive business impact across industries including health care, academic medicine, higher education, non-profits, logistics, and retail.
Known for turning insights into action, I lead cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, data-backed campaigns that fuel community growth, strengthen reputation, and generate results. I’ve also had the privilege of presenting at national marketing conferences and receiving multiple awards for digital innovation and best practice execution. What drives me in my work is the ability to combine creativity, vision, and analytics to position organisations as leaders in their industry while creating authentic connections with the communities they serve.
What does winning this award mean to you?
Winning this award is both an honour and a reflection of the work I’m most passionate about – using social media to build meaningful connections, amplify important stories, and create measurable impact for organisations and the communities they serve. To me, it highlights the creativity, collaboration, and data driven strategies I have put into practice to elevate digital engagement in health care, higher education, and beyond.
It also reinforces why I love this field – social media is constantly evolving, and being recognised for innovation and results motivates me to continue pushing boundaries, mentoring others, and finding new ways to connect people through storytelling and strategy.
What career achievement are you most proud of?
The career achievement I’m most proud of isn’t a single project or award – it’s the daily opportunity to do what I love. I wake up every day excited to engage with the ever-evolving world of social media, learning new trends, tools, and strategies that keep me at the forefront of digital innovation.
Equally meaningful is the chance to mentor and educate others along the way. Helping colleagues, students, and peers grow their skills, develop confidence, and see the impact of their work has been incredibly rewarding. For me, being able to combine continuous learning, creativity, and mentorship is what truly defines success.
What impact have you seen from your work?
The impact of my work is reflected in the growth and engagement I’ve been able to drive for many brands. I’ve helped brands across industries build multi-platform social media strategies, resulting in follower growth of up to 38%, engagement increases of over 160%, and millions of impressions generated. By launching influencer partnerships, ambassador programs, and user-generated content campaigns, I’ve helped organisations expand reach, strengthen their communities, and create authentic connections with their audiences.
Beyond the numbers, the most meaningful impact comes from helping brands tell their stories in a way that resonates, educates, and inspires their communities – turning strategy into real-world results that matter.
What’s the biggest lesson you’ve had to learn, and how did you grow from it?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is the importance of staying true to your values and morals in everything you do. In fast-paced, constantly evolving fields like social media and digital marketing, it’s easy to get caught up in the chaos – chasing trends, metrics, or external validation. But I’ve grown to recognise that the most sustainable success comes from staying grounded in your roots and remembering your “why.
By consistently aligning my work with my core principles – authentic storytelling, meaningful connections, and ethical decision-making – I’ve been able to navigate challenges with clarity, build trust with brands, and create work that not only achieves results but also feels right.
What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
One thing people are often surprised to learn about me is how much community service has shaped my journey. Alongside building a career in social media and digital strategy, I’ve dedicated time to giving back through organisations like Relay for Life, Women of Tomorrow, and local non-profits. I’ve also launched and managed my own ventures, like That Digital Belle, which allowed me to partner with community groups and small businesses to amplify their voices and help them grow. Those experiences not only strengthened my professional skills but also deepened my commitment to using storytelling and strategy to make a positive impact in the local community.
What advice would you give to the next wave of Digital Women?
My advice to the next wave of Digital Women is to embrace both the creativity and the strategy that this field demands. Social media and digital marketing evolve daily, so stay curious, keep learning, and don’t be afraid to experiment. At the same time, remember to stay true to your values – your voice and authenticity are what set you apart in a crowded digital space.
Build your network, find mentors, and just as importantly, be a mentor to others when you can. Collaboration over competition is how we elevate women in this industry. Most of all, trust yourself – you belong in every room you walk into, and your perspective has the power to create real change.
